Scura Mode - A Free and Open-Source Browser Extension
Scura mode is a free and open-source internet browser extension that will make your browsing experience more immersive and less taxing.
How does it work?
First, Scura mode will detect the color of all the elements on your current page and apply a darker shade of color to them, according to your preferences. The algorithm for determining the color of a component has been developed so that it can be used to accurately and dynamically darken the color of any website without affecting other colors. This allows the website's colors to be retained as much as possible.
Second, you can manually adjust the brightness of the page by using the slider. This can be useful in dimming the brightness to your liking. For example, you can reduce the brightness of a website down to a level that will cause minimal strain on your eyes.
We are also making an effort to add a feature that will allow you to darken specific pages in your browser by using the feature you can find at the bottom of the page. This will allow you to quickly and easily apply the dark mode to specific pages of your browser, but we are still working on the algorithm, and this feature is currently not implemented.
This plugin is not 100% perfect, and it never will be. However, we are working on adding conditions that will make the algorithm smarter and improve its performance.
